Oma’s Rehab Team is set up to provide outreach and in-clinic rehabilitation services to enhance the mobility and autonomy of those in need.

 

Rehabilitation Team

Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist, Registered Nurse, Dietitian and Social Worker

​

Service Targets

  • Students of Special Education Needs

  • Stroke, functional degeneration, people with pain, Dementia, Parkinsonism, traumatic brain injuiry, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)

  • Patients after surgery (such as fractures, wide joints or knee replacement)
     

Service Mode

Outreach places : Households, residential hostels, Elderly Homes,  kindergartens, schools

Clinics : Oma Centres at Jordan, Wan Chai, Central

Apart from personal rehab training and exercises, Oma also launches workshops and talks.

Service Content

(A) Occupational Therapy

  • Fine-motor, handwriting, sensory integration and processing training

  • Cognitive Training, Reminiscence Therapy and Self-care Training

  • Improvement in Home Safety

  • Purchase in Medical equipment : Walking aids, wheelchairs, air mattresses, etc.

 

(B) Physiotherapy

  • Gait analysis and postural correction

  • Manual Therapy, Chest physiotherapy

  • Cryotherapy and thermal therapy

  • Electrotherapy, Acupuncture

  • Kinesio taping

  • Stretching and therapeutic massage

  • Individualized exercise programme

(C) Speech Therapy

  • Dysphagia

  • Aphasia

  • Speech delay

  • Dysarthria / phonological disorder

  • Neurogenic communication disorder

 

Fee

First Assessment and Training : HK$1250 (1 hour)

2nd Training and onward : HK$1050 (1 hour)

Additional fee will be charged in proportion after 1st hour.
